5 Must Have Mudroom Trends

When you think mudroom, do you think dirty, chaos, disorganized, that room that I have to close the door to whenever someone visits - uuugghhh? Or, do you think of beautifully organized, pristine, family friendly environment where even the kids will enjoy putting their things where they belong? If you think that second option is only a fantasy, think again my friend!

In no particular order, here are 5 trends I'm seeing and 5 designs that I'm in LOVE with!

1 - Pop of Color

This multi-use laundry room renovation is sure to knock your socks off! This brilliant design took an unused dinning room and turned it into the mudroom of all mudrooms. Laundry, crafting, desk, coat hooks, baskets, bins, bench, cute seating, and actual real lockers. Not only is this space functionally brilliant, the pops of vibrant blue, yellow and green bring this otherwise white room to life.

2 - Simplicity

To have a place for everything and everything in it's place you do not need a lot of space or a overabundance of storage solutions. This beautiful design included a small budget friendly addition and fully utilized this hallway space. And by keeping it simple and tasteful, it doesn't feel crowded at all.

3 - High Performance

Let's face it, we're all busier than we should be. And anything we can do to make our lives easier and save some time is a huge bonus. High performance mudrooms are designed with just that in mind. This beauty utilizes the height of the room for off season items, gives each user personalized storage and their own seating area, and even includes a boot/glove drying system - no really! - check it out just left of the stairs. I want one!!

4 - Hidden Storage

Ok, this one may be slightly over the top, but if you're a parent, be ready to fall off your seat when you see the secret this entryway locker area hides...

For real - this entire room is hidden behind those "doors"!

OMG!! That is all I have to say about this...

5 - Light, Bright, Airy & Welcoming

Don't want to lose your entryway windows to locker type storage? You don't have to! This BRILLIANT design not only worked around the windows, but incorporated them into the space perfectly. With a design like this you can get the storage solutions you need, but keep the beauty of the natural light we all crave.
